Boy, this bug brings back memories for me. When I was a kid, we had a tree out back that was infested with these things. Just by looking at the picture I can smell them!

Yeah - I'm not a big fan of the stink bugs but found this rare opportunity to show one with complementary contrasting colors to be a good choice for the contest. Thank you for taking a look and offering a review of my entry: "Stinky"

these sort of images are hard to get right because of the narrow dof and this although quite good just needed to be sharper or a slightly wider dof but still giving five because i know how hard these are hard to get...Brian

A nice initial impact. However the bug is not quite in focus and does nor exhibit much detail. The background is muted nicely to show the bug shape and detail nicely.

Good shot of "Stinky" here and thanks for informative notes. This image is a good entry into the contest. I particularly like the little droplet with sharp reflections on it. Great shot and very interesting comments about this insect. I have heard of them but never saw one this close up. I am glad smell does not come along with this digital format. : )
It adds a lot that you got that drop of liquid at the end of its appendage, nice.

Great entry. Prominent details of this Stinky bug. I can see the hairs in the legs. Clarity of colors and fine lines in the antennae. Excellent background with natural bokeh. Superb lighting and composition. Angle could still be improved to also show its eye, but overall this is already a great capture.

Very interesting and informative notes are really appreciated here, the stink bug is well placed within the frame and has such an interesting almost turtle like body.
Well focused, clear image with good use of the light. The colors and tones appear natural. The bug is standing out well from the soft background . I appreciate that clear drop on the antennae.
