That is, I gotta say, just straight up gorgeous. I have no idea how to digital art, I mainly use pen and paper to get the job done, but this is better than anything I have ever done (shameless plug, if you want to rate or look at some of my stuff, I've posted a few things)

This is a wonderful image. My concern is that it is not black and white as the contest states. Also, it says no photography. I would guess that the stock image you started with was a photo.

Thank you for your review. Stock photos are allowed as digital art under digital compositions and under number one digital creations. I had checked with Tom on this when I first joined FAR to make sure how to list. It is only listed under photo if it's your own image and then its listed under photograph and mixed media. Confusing, I know but that is how Tom explained it to me. :)

Through many hours and multiple layers in Photoshop, you have created a lovely scene with mamma Swan and her cygnets. The lighting is highly effective, and you have masterfully placed it to illuminate the subjects perfectly. The dark background supports the subjects in a dynamic presentation by eliminating any / all distractions while also putting the spotlight on the subjects. Beautiful!
