Now there is no doubt the focus on this LOL... The water drops are so clear and detailed. The color, tone, lighting are spot on. Very nice presentation. Thanks for sharing!

This green leafy Poinsettia would have been good in the "Green Contest". I like the shading of colours within the leaves and the red stems add to the overall image. Great clarity and light and nicely composed!

Hi Maureen.. Since I took this shot the plant has been moved into its dormant space - dark and dry. It will stay there for around 40 days. At the end of that term it will emerge with bold greenery and bright red top leaves and yellow berries. If you think about it, this poinsettia is a representation of life, death and the promise of resurrection.

Thank you for the fine review and rating. I'm glad you liked the post ... Bob

A very good submission of the color green ,perhaps? The image is very sharp and clear, showing wonderful detail in the leaves. The red stems anchoring the leaves to the stem ads nice color, and the raindrops add interest to the shot.

First of all : good for you in keeping a pointsettia alive and well for 7 years!
The leaves are so pretty and the raindrops bring a sense of freshness .
Well photographed with good focus, this image is clear and exposure is well managed. The various green tones appear natural.
I like the way you filled the frame!
Well composed and presented!,

I can't take all the credit for this plant's longevity Pat. A Swedish acquaintance has given me guidance and advice from time to time. It got to be a chore moving this plant around as needed. I had to make a dolly for it. Thanks for the review and super stars... Bob

Bob, I like your descriptive and informative artist's notes. I have no clue that the red poinsettia started greens, too. These are pretty lush and vibrant. The colors, textures, and veins are well-defined. Superb angle, focus, and lighting. The tone appears authentic and natural, too. A great entry and this is well-captured.

This is a beautiful image. The colors sizes shapes, shadows and lighting all look
natural; I don't see any mistakes or inaccuracies. This image could definitely pass for a photograph.

Hi Bob - a very intriguing post with informative notes. Your angle of this shot is very effective and details throughout the frame are well represented and very sharp, allowing the viewer(s) a great opportunity to take-in the biology of the Poinsettias.
