Congrats on you milestone on FAR. A wonderful post for the occasion. I like the black background to help accentuate the subject. Nice.

btw-I just figured out your screen name--orchid rn. It took me awhile! : )

Thank you for your congrats.. I appreciate your review very much.
Funny... my screen name I didn't realize that at the time it would be what people saw associated with my posts; I thought it would be a sign in name. Anyhow.. I am a retired RN and grow orchids so I guess it is apt. Thank you for your reviews.:)

First of all : congratulations on post number 300! The purple flowers are so dainty and I like the way they are situated here with the supporting greenery behind them I like the tiny bud up on the left and that partial flower on lower right, it brings a sense of how these flowers grow. Well focused, this image is clear and you have made good use of the available light.
Colors and tones appear natural. Well composed and presented!

Thank you for the congratulations... good job some-one is keeping count :) I appreciate your reviews. A quick question... someone suggested I should remove the bud at the top of flower arc. I am interested in your opinion. Thank you.

Pretty lovely. I love how the dark background really made your purple blossoms and its green leaves to stand out. Excellent focus, lighting, and angle. You've showcased this flower with natural and authentic colors and its best features. I would consider cloning that tiny line from the top because it looks like a distraction. Overall, this is already technically strong and is a joy to view. Welcome to FAR.
