Wow! That was my initial thought! I love this LeeAnn! The twins are just precious and I can see that they feel safe with you and your camera just by looking at their expressions and the position of their ears. You are so fortunate to have gained the trust of these beautiful Bambis . Well captured with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect, colors and tones appear natural. The natural woodland background is perfect too, I like the way they are placed within the frame and the way they are situated up next to the tree.
This is a special image and a wonderful entry for this contest! Very best wishes to you!

Hi Lee Ann.. This is a magnificent shot.
Something I noticed almost from the start of my reviewing your work is that you share a bond of trust and respect with all the animals you photograph.
When I look at this photograph I can see the trust and sense of safety and security you engender.
There is no higher aspiration in life than to be trusted by the creatures of this world.
And the reward - of course is excellent photo op's... Bob

Hi Bob, please accept my apologies for the lateness in responding to your review, I have been busy trying to edit new photos as well as prepare for vacation. I can never thank you enough for this wonderful and insightful review; to know the bond I have created with these beautiful creatures shows through in my photos means more to me than anyone can know. To have their trust is something I am eternally grateful for every day. And my sincere thanks for the beautiful extr star, like icing on a cake! :) LeeAnn

OMG LeeAnn! How cool is this! Love the twin fawns! I think the image is even better because the fawns are facing in the opposite direction. What a special find! Always love your deer shots but this one is really special! Focus and lighting are perfect on these guys are more than a joy to view and perfect for the contest. Good Luck! :o) Nancy

Thanks so very much Nancy for the great review, well wishes and extra star for this one. I couldn’t believe my luck in finding one under the tree, only to have the other show up and lay down with it!

Awe, a sweet and well taken photo of the precious two! Your patience paid off to get both of them together. Your timing was perfect to get both gazing at you with curiosity. You even got that glimpse of light in each of their eyes! Perfectly framed. Nicely Done :-)

I love this photo of these two beautiful fawns! Your composition is just perfect as is the focus and lighting. The details of their fur and the spots on their coats are great. I love all the textures of the tree bark and the foreground grasses too. This is a very pleasing photo to look at and admire these two beauties! Well done!

Great contest entry, I love the image of the two twin fawns together, great eye capture, colours are very natural, the filters give a sheen to their soft
Coats, well done, good luck in the contest.

Is it unusual for deer to have twins? I think it possibly is. So what a great opportunity for you, especially as they've got to know you so well already (I should be posting this written in green, to show my envy! LOL)
Excellent shot (as always!), with perfect focus and dof, excellent natural colours and good composition - so lovely to see them lying together like that.

Sorry for the late response, Charlotte; Thank you so much for the wonderful review and extra; It is very normal for white tail deer to have twins( though first time moms may have only one), and sometimes even triplets! I was about 6 feet away from them; the first day was maddening because being so used to me I became *invisible*, and they were busy grooming each other, and I couldn’t get their attention to get them to look at me-lol!

You're VERY welcome, it's a beautiful shot!
