Behold the duck.
It does not cluck.
A cluck it lacks.
It quacks.
It is specially fond
Of a puddle or pond.
When it dines or sups,
It bottoms ups.

Duck photos are among my favorites. This one sure is at the top of the list for composition. I have never seen a pose like this before. It is also very sharp. The ripples around the female mallard serve as a very nice frame. Glad you walked over the bridge.

Hi Nancy, I really like the picture you present. The female preening, prefect focus and anticipated action. The details are excellent. The water, features action and that enhances the total picture. Wonderful presentation. Ray

Well its different thats for sure, sometimes animals/birds don,t always do what you want[actually most times] so you either give up or get something different as in this case, nice one...Brian

Bird photography on land, in water, or during fishing brings us closer to the avian world, allowing us to observe their daily rituals and survival strategies. You have presented a captivating photo very well timed. Thanks for sharing. Good luck!

A good looking nature image presented here, together with interesting notes too! Yes, you obtained quite an original image. Its a wonder to me that she could manipulate herself in such a way. Well done and good luck!
