You did an amazing job with the pastels. Your images of the fruit and leaves are so crisp, and the way you were able to capture the wine glass- from ba distance, it looks like a real glass. I also love your rustic table. This is a great work.

A wonderful pastel of wine and fruit. Scale, subject, placement of the subjects, detail, colors, highlights and shadows all come together and make for a presentation suitable for any fine dining restaurant to adorn on their walls.

I'm ready to grab that wine glass and taste that wine. I love how you have drawn and painted the pears, grapes and its leaves. The dark background fits well. I also like the textures especially the wood and the realistic colors. Shapes and colors are prominent and well defined. You have painted this well, Maureen and this scene made me thirsty.

Hi Maureen, I like the way you laid out the fruit and glass of wine on the table. I also like the darker blue on the grapes which I assume is the shine. The grape leaves and part of the vine were a nice touch too. Nice job with the coloration on the pears too. The look is subtle but very inviting! A very cool image for the "Still Life Contest"! Wow, I really love this. I love blueberries and pears but I love the grape leaves and wine glass. Not sure if it's a painting behind or not but I think a picture within a picture would be very interesting. Great colour and texture. An enjoyable image to view. Good luck in the contest:-)
