That stare!

Was it a Sunday, with lunch over
And the women chatting
And the men next door oblivious?
One of them at least, oblivious, his feelings dead,
As friends had long suspected? What was she thinking
when the picture was taken, what thoughts in her head?

Hi Allan, though I missed this when you originally posted it, I love the way the mirror image makes this look! The stare so makes this image! You did a great job of blending the halves together. I like to think of this as "Grumpy Frog"! I enjoyed this posting a lot and think the look is very cool! Sorry I don't have six stars to give! Congratulations on your first-place win! :o) Nancy

This is awesome! I love frogs and used to collect frog stuff years ago.
Very interesting artists notes to describe your use of mixed media, had I not read it, I would not be able to tell that it was a mirror image.
This little creature has a formidable facial expression with those squinted eyes. I love the way the tiny feet are holding on in foreground .
Well captured with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect, I appreciate the way the frog is standing out from the soft green toned background
Well defined detail is easy seen on every part of the frog.
Well composed and presented!
Great entry for this contest! Very best wishes to you !

Thanks Pat, what a wonderful review from you and a high rating.
With all your magnificent scenery and wildlife in AK it is great that you can appreciate this little green frog, at least half of him, the other half duplicated! Thanks again!!

I love this visual presented here. The expression on that frog is simply amazing. Composition shades, limited colors, accent your subject and are beautiful way. Very creative. Well done.

LOL, wow this really cool. I have messed with mirror images in the past, but it has been a while. I love how you have tried something different and out of the box. Super sharp photo and his fingers are fantastic as well. Is a little spooky but it is almost Halloween after all. Great job, a winner for sure. Thanks for posting :)

Thanks Cindy for the high rating and wonderful comments. Indeed, I like to try different things, who cares if some of them bomb out. I am glad you mentioned Halloween, he is a scary as I care for. : )
