A truly great capture of your daughter framed by the aspen trees. I liked your story about the eyes of the tree. Great folklore for sure. Good luck in the contest, this looks like a winner!

May say you have a beautiful daughter. She should be a model. I love how you positioned her within the frame. I love how the black-and-white highlights her beautiful face. I also love the beautiful trees that you're representing. So well done thank you for sharing.

Thank you - she actually is a model and participates in fashion runways on the weekends when she is not getting her nails dirty running her landscape company.

You've captured the essence of femininity in this shot of the beautiful lady. Her eyes tell stories. Overall, it was a fine effort. Good luck!

An excellent black and white rendition of your very attractive daughter leaning against these interesting Aspen trees. What beautiful eyes and lashes your daughter has. All the best in the contest!

LOL - yes, Megan has a knack for stealing the spotlight - she is actually a model and participates in fashion runways on the weekends when she is not getting her nails dirty running her landscape company. Your right - the eyes on Aspen trees don't stand a chance. LOL. Thanks Brian.

A good entry into the contest, and an interesting narrative along with a lovely photograph of your daughter that could be entered into a magazine photo shoot. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you - We (mother/daughter) won the best profile picture contest in the National American Miss contest a few years back - she is a model and participates in runways during the weekends when she is not getting her nails dirty running her landscaping company during the week.

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here, together with enlightening educational notes. Your fine and full composition gives us a good look at your Meg squeezing between those tree trunks. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

HI!... Well enough of the introductions let's get on with.

Initial impact: I'll start this off with a question: How can a semi-profile portrait of a very attractive young lady, looking hopefully to the future and framed by sturdy Aspens not be impactful?
Creativity of presentation: B&W always works for portraiture. I like the contrast.
Color Harmony: N/A
Center of Interest: "Less is more." Crop a little more off the bottom. The pattern of her clothes is a distraction. Leave just enough to be seen, like a semi border.
Technical Excellence: Well focused throughout with appropriate DOF.
Technique: No issues
Lighting:
Story Telling Ability: Excellent and interesting notes. Move the sentence identifying the subject as your daughter to the end of the paragraph - give her the recognition she deserves.
Recommendation(s): Build on those mysterious eyes; bring her chin down just a little more and turn her head just slightly towards the camera. Look straight into the camera lens.

This should do very well in the contest, good luck... Bob
