Hi Michele, Love the way your beautiful Lotus comes into the frame! I also like the way the leaves frame the flower. Against the black background the Lotus shows off well! Lighting is perfect and I can even see some soft texture in the flower! Very nicely presented and a joy to view! :o) Nancy

Don't understand why this hasn't gotten a 6 star yet so I'm giving it one because i really believe it deserves one! It is a very simple, clean, elegant photo, the lotus blossom looks so pure and is nicely framed by a couple of leaves that help balance out the photo. The black background is perfect to set of the bud's beauty and elegance.It is very well composed and is very elegant!

A lovely image with dynamic contrast between the white petals and the black background. The lighting in this image is very welcoming with gradient light highlighting the leaves.
I find replacing the background to be a little tricky and have learned to use the cloning brush in photoshop to clean up any pesky pixels that are attempting to cause my sharp images from losing their sharp edges.

The leaves that frame the blossom is also pretty pleasant. Clarity is superb. Excellent lighting, angle, and focus. The big negative space from the top can still be improve to maintain a balance in your composition by decreasing or cropping it. Overall, this is absolutely a joy to view.

It is more focus. Actually, your big negative space looks imbalance, but sometimes, some photographers likes that, too. It was also artistic.
