I rarely see the male and female together and got them just right Michelle.
It is nice that they are watching you as you are snapping this beautiful photograph.
Thank you for sharing!

The rear duck is so sharp but the front one is not whether it moved as thats what it looked like in this, pity really sometimes timing is everything in getting a good photo....Brian

Thank you for your comments. I agree with you the female is not as sharp, probably should have cropped her out.

Hi Michel, Almost perfect! The male Peking Duck is in perfect focus! Every feather is sharp. The female must have moved when you took the shot because she only has a soft focus on her. Love the angle of the shot and position of both ducks. Lighting is super! I hate to lower your score but I have too! I do want you to know if you had the female in perfect focus like the male I would have given you six stars! :o) Nancy

I love the refreshing scene of these wood ducks. The colors are authentic and pure. Excellent lighting, composition, angle, and focus. The ferns made a nice natural background. Well done, Michele.

A good looking image presented here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of that pair of lovely ducks and their location. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

Are these wood ducks? The male is so colorful and confident standing there evaluating the situation at hand; his mate eating and possibly your presence. Your focus was on the male, as he is crystal clear - a narrower aperture may have allowed the female sharpness as well, as she (due to aperture or movement) is softer in focus. Regardless, the image is framed well, tells a story, the detail and patterns on both ducks are well defined and the colors are naturally beautiful. I also like the angle of the shot that presents a nice side profile of both. Good Luck in the Contest.

Yes my focus was on the male Peking duck, and I probably should not have included the female. Thank you for your detailed and objective review I appreciate it.

What a wonderful photo op this lovely pair of Peking Ducks have offered you! The male is posed as if he is protecting the female as she searches for food. I like the way they are situated within the frame , the green ferns make a nice frame behind them as well as bringing the fresh green color.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, colors and tones appear natural. Well composed allowing a good sense of their location, well presented!
