Wow, I love this shot Susan. Lady Goldfinch is shown with sharp focus, especially on the eye and softness of her feathers, the texture of the branch with beautiful background. She stands out in a very pleasant way against your background. Beautiful, thanks for sharing :-)

Taking a picture of a bird can be very challenging. It requires a lot of tolerance and a good understanding of its behaviour. This is a classic shot of the Goldfinch bird. You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition worked well. Here is my SIX for you!
