Initial Impact = "Awesome". I'm always so spell bound when I see these types of images, whereas the clear reflections of the water are noticeable. The way this feline is emerging from the darkness into the light is very effective and adds loads of drama and interest to the scene. That tongue is shown with merely seconds before the water (reflection) would be disturbed with ripples in the water. Centered perfectly within the frame to hold the viewers' attention while we share gazes between our eyes and the cat. Creatively and skillfully achieved. A pleasure to review and deserving of more than a 5 (unfortunately that's all I have left - sigh).

A good looking nature image posted here! Wonder what it was taking a break from? Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of that handsome animal. Textures, tones and detail are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!

Absolutely love it when you do the BIG cats Lynn! Love the coloration and the way this leopard seems to be starring at the viewer. The leopard looks so alert! The proportions in my eyes are spot on! I love the slight ripples in the water caused by the leopard's tongue. The image is breathtaking!

Beautiful image Lynn. As a photographer who enjoys wildlife and nature photography I can appreciate what you do because I can't imagine ever getting a shot like this without a zoom lens. Very realistic and very creative. I think the story is "give me a minute to have a drink and then I'll eat you". Beautiful vibrant colours, sharp eyes and I like the reflections on the water. Very well done and thanks for sharing:-)
