Bob,
A beautiful picture of the Orange Belted Bumblebee ~ Bombus ternarius on the purple flower spike the light sparkling in her eyes & on her gossamer wings. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Bob - congratulations on this image. Bee's are not for the faint of heart and are one of the most difficult subjects to "Successfully" photograph, that said, you have done it well in this shot. The image could not be any sharper and therefore allows for a nice view of the intricacies of the wing details. Both antennas are crystal clear. The colors are natural. The lighting is just enough to illuminate / showcase the subject. Your f/8 aperture kept the entire bee in focus and also allowed for a natural delineation of the natural environment / surroundings in the background. This is a very skillfully taken shot.

A very beautiful visual presented here this bumblebee collecting nectar. Composition, shades, tones, colors, and background highlight your subjects, in a very pleasing way.

I like flowers' fragile wispiness! They appear to be dancing freely while the bumblebee is feasting. The colours are pleasing, and the composition is pleasing to view! Well done!

A wonderful image of this beautiful bee gathering pollen. The blurred background is a wonderful touch and the framing is nice as well. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely composition of the tri-colored bee on a flower stalk. The background is blurred out nicely, so the viewer can focus on the subject without distraction. However I feel the subject is not as crisp and in focus as it could be.

This orange belted bumblebee is so cute. I love the vivid textures of the wings and yellow hairy part. Great focus and lighting, Bob. The purple blooms added colors and life in this scene. You've also showcased the natural habitat of this tiny bumblebee. A fun to watch.

This bumblebee is beautiful with its three colors, it's that orange band that really calls attention to it .
Well captured with spot on focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, all colors and tones appear natural.
I see well defined detail in every part of the bee, it appears to enjoy feeding from the purple spike flowers .
Well composed and presented !

Bumble bees are such sweet insects with the round furry colorful body, and you have indeed pictured this one well. Also the purple blossoms look lovely, and with the softened background both the plant and the bee are standing out in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on the bee, and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen. The exposure is perfect.

The tall format works well, and I like the slight diagonal placement of the plant with the bee. A lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with a very good DOF.
