HI Kathy, I don't know how I missed this! Love the closeness of these two cats and the softness of your image around the two. I think the way you presented this created a very sweet image!
Big Congratulations on your win! Your image is very touching! :o) Nancy

Kathy, I love this piece of art. I know it is a photo but it truly is art in my opinion. I love out of the box presentations, and this is one. I can definitely see it matted and framed or on canvas. The overall softness but sharp meaningful detail, and the opposite facing is ideal. I am sorry for your loss. I know the pain I have felt in similar situations and my heart goes out to you. Great entry.

Awe, thank you so much, that is such a heartwarming compliment (ref., Art). You have made this cloudy day (outside) so much brighter and better. Thank you for your kind words, backed with that extra star of recognition.

This is so dreamy, it's as if the two kitties are asleep on a cloud! I like the way you focused on their sleeping faces. I love the black and white rendering.
Well photographed with nice focus , the image is clear and your exposure is perfect, I see well defined detail in both faces! Nice tonal range in the B&W. I am so sorry for the loss of Teddy and think this is a wonderful way to remember him.
Well composed and presented!
I think that this would make a wonderful greeting card face!

Thank you, Pat - Yes, preparing this image to post stirred up a few tears. I always hesitate on what is a good image for black and white - I've been trying to train my eyes to see grey tone rather than color. Thank you for taking the time to review - your kind, supportive words are heartfelt.

You are welcome, I know how it feels to loose a pet, we lost our golden retriever a year ago yesterday and we miss him so much! This is a beautuful image !

More of a dog person myself but I can appreciate your skill in this image Kathy. You have created a treasured memory with this soft heavenly look sleeping peacefully together. A very good entry for the contest. Good luck and thanks for sharing :-)

This is a creatively composed photograph of the pets. Though they've moved on, this image keeps their gentle presence alive, honouring the joy and companionship they shared with you. Good luck!

Not sure how you got the surrounding softness in this one but the effect surrounding the cats is so different but good, and ideal for the contest as such, well taken....Brian

Kathy,
This deserves a SIX Star rating but I run out of Sixes.
Very beautiful image of Teddy & his lady friend Tink curled up against each other in Black & White. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Thank you, Susan - I understand, sixes are in short supply come the middle / end of the week. I'm so happy you liked this image. Thank you for the lovely review.

I just love this photo Kathy. Probably because I also love cats. The two of them tougher and the tenderness of the scene is so well captured, and I like that the photo is in black and white.
The photo has a dreamlike look.

This is of course also a sharp photo with such clear and well defined details, and the white balance and exposure is spot on.

The tight cropping is perfect and so is the placement of the two cats within the frame. A truly sweet and well taken photo and with an excellent DOF.

Thank you, Annie - yes, this is one of my personal favorites. Tink is still with me and interestingly, since Teddy departed, Tink has now found her voice. I awake to her demanding attention immediately (before coffee) every morning now (Meowing non-stop until she is fed and pet) LOL. Thank you for this lovely review and supportive 6th star.

You are more than welcome Kathy. It is good to hear that you still have Tink. I have had cats myself, so recognize the behaviour.

A very touching story that goes along with this beautiful visual. I love your use of black-and-white and the angle that you used to capture this moment in time. God bless your sweet cat. May he have fun up in heaven with my dogs!!
