Ray, a very nice scene depicted here. Lots of points of interest besides the obvious cabin. I find myself searching the scene for the little details. The tulips, chairs, tables, smoke and the vines climbing the tree. To name a few. Looks cozy and restful on a crisp spring morning. I am enjoying it very much :)

Wow !what an incredible scene this is, it's brought to life with the colors , it's really put into perspective too , I think I would like to spend about two weeks here! I see that it's spring by the white tulips that are just starting to open , I see another bunch of flowering plants in the square container across from the tulips , I see the smoke coming from the chimney a seat with welcoming good cushions with a table in front that could have some snacks and drinks to enjoy. I just love this , it's rustic and it's a calming place to be !
Very well created, awesomely arranged and presented!

Hi Ray, Love the thought of quiet time. One just thinks pf peace of mind when in a setting like this. Love the tulip garden round the tree. It must be Spring, a time when all is refreshed. Love the texture of the tree bark and the cozy cabin with the chairs out front. The mention of the hills for sledding make you think this retreat is for fun and relaxation. Love the look! :o) Nancy

Well, look at this, the snow melted, spring has sprung, and someone had renovated the rustic cabin. It looks like who ever put the hard work into the renovation is now enjoying a nice warm fire in the cabin. :o)

You have created such nice interest and detail within this acrylic. The lines on the bark of the tree that illustrates depth to the bark. The streaks in the glass on the windows.

I like the way the color yellow carries from the tulips to the lawn chairs in front of the house.

As with your other piece (Rustic Cabin), I really like your technique that allows the fiber / recognition of the canvas to show through, which adds to the rustic appearance. Very Nice Ray.

Another example of the rustic retreat Ray,well painted in this with much more detail than the other one,but think the simplicity of the other one comes across slightly better for me...Brian

Hi Brian, Both come with the same underlying message of rest and relaxation. the first comes with a chance to imagine the bare needs and ideas without specifics. This one fills in individual thoughts and necessities by filling in the blanks. I am a ardent fan of simplicity. Thank you Brian, for your wonderful review, it helps me quite a bit. Ray

Such an ideal place for a weekend get away. I love the early Spring scene of blooming tulips under the tree, the fire pit and of course the rustic cabin. I also like the idea of the hill for sledding. Excellent arrangement, drawing and painting skills and concepts. This deserves my well-kept six, Ray.

I have seen a few of these "Rustic retreat" paintings floating about and now I see it in color and it attracts me more. Are you at all surprised? Smile :)
The landscaping around the tree with the tulips is a nice touch. The mini garden,Small tree, the siding on the cabin, the table and chairs, the shadows behind the steps and chimney smoke, all add to the details giving it a more interesting appeal.
