Mark, how cool that you were able to capture the largest paddle-wheeler ever to operate on the Murray and the largest paddle-wheeler in the Southern Hemisphere. I've seen color images of the Murray Princess - she is very amazing.

You were successful in getting the entire boat in the frame from Stern to Paddles. The architecture or the M. Princess offers so many compositional elements to gravitate to, such as the repeating lines, patterns, shapes etc.

The lighter yellow of this boat is picked up as white in the black and white presentation and consequently makes for a very compelling B&W view.

Camera techs all appear to be spot on and have come together to produce a sharp, detailed, well-lit view with nice depth and contrast.

I love the paddle boats! They are so much fun to ride on !
Well captured as the boat moves across the frame from right to left.
Well rendered in black and white.
Nice focus, this image is clear and your exposure is correct.
I see good tonal variations in the B&W.

Nice overall shot of this paddle steamer Mark and of course it fits the black/white contest as well but do think the subject suits color better,did see one in hamburg germany and it was blue and did look the business in color...brian
