An excellent photo Pat! This scenery is stunning with the deep rich reds and oranges that contrast so beautifully with the gray and white sky and included greenery in the foreground. It appears to be late day lighting coming through the trees and the lowlight is well done. Your focus is spot on and the reflection well captured on the ultra calm water. Such a beautiful place, lucky you to walk here!

Alaska, here I come! Or perhaps this is really somewhere in Tolkien's Middle Earth- hardly seems real, utterly breathtaking image! Deserving of a frame and a prominent place on the wall! On a technical note, getting colors to pop like this on a cloudy or overcast day can be a challenge- You nailed it!

very cool capture. love the reflection in the water. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this reflective water surrounded by colorful trees with cloudy sky view is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

What a stunning landscape, it looks like a beautiful oil painting! Looks like you caught those trees surrounding the lake at the peak of color, and those dramatic clouds really sets them off. I can see how the lake got its name as it has presented you with a gorgeous reflection. Definitely GORGEOUS!

This is indeed a beautiful autumn scene with a very dramatic looking sky. It is amazing how well it is reflected in the in the lake. The greyish look of the sky makes the autumn colors stand out so well.
This is of course also a very sharp photo with clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the photo, and the exposure is spot on.
The slight crop has worked well, and I like the way the green trees in the foreground are working as a nice and natural framing. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and with an excellent DOF.
