Like the bright colors and the sense of business at this sight. Well balanced composition except for the white railing/deck protruding into the image at the upper left. That could easily be removed in post editing, Also, something about the image looks more like an illustration than a photo. Seems to be a lack of natural shadows making it appear rather flat.

Great shot of the docks in Dublin nikman. Great colour and exposure taken at a good angle showing this busy place of industry. The sky works well with the docks. Good focus, texture and clarity. Well done and thanks for sharing :-)

My initial impression was; "Wow" this would make a great puzzle! There is a lot going on and yet offers that space of both sky and water, that would add to the difficulty of finding the pieces in the puzzle. Compositionally - there is so much to take in and admire. The level image is framed perfectly and offers so much interest as well as appeal. I personally may have tried to remove the top left balcony - that said - this is a well taken image.

My tears make an unseen road
And my will to live slowly begins to erode
As I wonder about in this place-less place
There is no one to help me, no signs to follow
Here there is no yesterday, no today
And no tomorrow
Here darkness is the only light
The day is the same colour as the night
Here I cannot hear my thoughts
Because the silence is so loud
My heart sweats in this cold climate of fear
I try to recall how I got here
But I have forgotten how to remember

Nik,
A beautiful picture of Dublin Port with the Poolbeg towers dominating the skyline with wind blown clouds racing across the otherwise blue sky. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

This is a well-captured scene of a dockyard. You framed it well, and the light, shadows, colours, and composition have worked well. Good effort!

Nik this is a very picturesque sight, which is amazing because of the utilitarian nature of the shot. The focus is excellent and the clarity of the colors is very appealing. The beautiful blue sky with whimsical clouds ads to the beauty of this shot.

Such a colorful scene to enjoy while waiting for your sail to England. I like the clarity of colors. The clouded blue sky made a nice contrast especially to that two tall towers. Excellent angle, exposure , and right white balance control setting. Points of improvement is just to remove that part from the left hand corner. Overall, this is well-taken but composition be improved.

I am very grateful for your kind and thoughtful review! I kept the upper deck section in to emphasise we were on board a ship.
