Like this one as well. Haven't been on much lately as xmas is a busy time of year for me. Nice to see consistent posts like this. colors, shading, details are all wonderful.

After seeing your painting I almost wish you could get a Poinsettia in blue. You have done it so well and I especially like the sort of "loose" petals at the top. It is actually adding motion to your painting. I also like the golden hues in the background and the outlining of the petals.
I like very much your abstract paintings, but I also like your more realistic style, and the flower is done paying a very good attention to details.
The format and tight framing is working well, and so does the centered position of the poinsettia. I think this is a truly lovely and well done painting Ray.

A great looking art piece Ray. I like the use of complementary colors in the flower and pot. I like quasi abstract work a lot, so this fills that need. Very nice and happy to rate it a 6.

Well Roy, you've done it again! You've painted a lovely "portrait" of the poinsettia. The blend of colors give the leaves so much depth and I like your technique of adding ink. The light background really shows of the plant and its container.

No trouble trying to figure out what this was, Ray! I've seen a lot of various colored Poinsettias. Some of them even have glitter on them. I think you did a great job creating this massive dyed blue blossom.
Love that you kept a little bit of the red. I also love the burst of golden yellow surrounding it. Very pretty Ray and a joy to view! :o) Nancy
