I can feel the cold of the wind that has bowed those tree branches. Hopefully that reflection off the water is the sun rising with a promise of some warmth as it rises into the day! Thanķ you for this opportunity to remember how nice it is to be in a heated room with the choice to snuggle under a softly warm blanket.

So tranquil and refreshing. I love the scene per se. The snowy creek and the golden sky framed by Winter trees that collected the snow is such a magical scene. Excellent choice of realistic and contrasting colors. The smooth water with sunrise reflections added a sense of serenity in this composition. The layers of textures of the snow are also well painted. This is one of your finest, Maureen. This surely encourage me to go out and likewise savor the Winter scenes.

This pastel has ample detail in the tree limbs, the snow-covered grasses and a beautiful water reflection. I'm reminded of the adage; "All Storms Will Pass". Lovely work Maureen.
