When creating this piece I paid particular attention to light and shadow to highlight the sense of melancholy. Use of textures and fabrics also adds overall mood of the piece. Thanks for awesome review of my work. Cheers.

When creating this piece I was quite intentional. I paid particular attention to the light, shadow, colors, textures, fabrics and materials I used. I love the setting of this scene with long-stemmed pink calla lily blossoms and that bench looks so regal in blue colors. Your character is well-dressed in that off-shoulder gown. Excellent arrangement and choice of contrasting colors. An artwork with a story to tell.

The tall white vase of calla lilies behind her on the left and a very fancy chair in back right , she wears such an elegant blue/ green dress as she stands holding a single calla lily in her right hand, her expression tells me that she is remembering someone who is no longer in her life, someone very special , someone that she misses. Perhaps she is going to an event that this someone usually attended with her, it is a formal event and she apprehensively dressed up and is going to go alone .
Very well created with such great colors to establish this melancholic mood. I like also that pretty green light up in the right corner.
