interesting abstract. the details is good. the depth is good. the shading is good. the blend of the colors is good. the shape and design is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. creative approach and good job overall.

Ray, this is a very intriguing piece - the title leads the viewer to look for the visual representation of a Beaver Dam and as a result, I see the pile / layers of limbs and small logs. The burnt orange offers a nice vignette feel to the piece, framing the damn nicely.

Beavers are being introduced much more now in the uk and they are starting to make a difference,so i can see the way the beavers have been shown in the way they work lodge!!! but that aside an abstract version of this scene...Brian

This a great depiction of a beaver dam, I feel like I am looking at it from a higher vantage point, peeking through the weeds and sedges,hopefully using them as camouflage in case the beavers return to modify it. They've done a good job, as I can see the water backed up behind, reflecting the blue sky above. The greens and browns make this a very realistic nature scene!

LeeAnn, I have seen many a beaver dam and lodge in my time. The idea of a beaver gnawing at trees, creating dams and building and living in lodges is amazing. Being an admirer of wildlife and their ways, I thing this is a super abstract of a beaver dam and pond behind the structure.
The organe/blue complementary colors work well. I think the blue water adds the detail that makes this piece work well. Nice post.
