What a nice photo you have captured here Susan. The side lighting works so well highlighting this lovely Chaffinch.
The placement in the frame is good being off center to the left. The branch makes for a good framing element further drawing attention to the bird.
The focus is sharp and he colors are natural. Nicely done Susan ~ Steve

Hi Susan - your image of this little Chaffinch has really caught her sweet, vulnerable, innocent disposition in the way she has her head tilted for this natural portrait. One can only imagine a cloudy sky, whereas the sun was beginning to pop through, allowing that lovely hint of light and warmth on her left side. That said, even with the lower light on her right, that twinkle in her eye still shines through. You have framed this nicely by allowing a nice visual of the branch of the limb to ascend up in the frame, adding even more interest to the image. Nice!
