This is super cute and such a great entry for this contest ! This little dragon has the sweetest expression and I can see that it loves flowers . The flowers here are beautifully created and perfectly placed near the dragon .
Awesome work with wonderful details and well chosen and applied colors! I wish I had a six to award this one!

The last thing I would expect to see in an expression contest is a little dragon. LOL He'is very cute! Love the colors and the addition of the flowers. I have always liked your drawings of the small dragons, and this one is especially cute with the big shiny eyes. I also like the flowers you have added because it is bringing in lovely colors. The neutral background makes everything stand out so well.
The pastel is done paying such a good attention to details. The color pallet is great and you have used high lights so well.
The tight framing is working well, and the dragon has got a fine placement on the paper. Indeed a sweet and well done pastel drawing Maureen, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Those eyes are mesmerizing as the stare extends the canvas and holds the viewers' attention.
