This is a beautiful portrait of a pelican's face and the beginnings of his beak. Focus and clarity are great, but I think it would make more of a statement showing his whole beak. Good luck in the contest.

Awe! I love pelicans and I think the name Melvin , suits this one. He appears to be quite proud here in his class photo.
Well focused, clear image with correct exposure, you have brought out such well defined details in Melvin, I appreciate that clear eye complete with reflective light.
