This is a terrific idea for the humor contest! It definitely is expressive and would make a great class photo for pelicans! At first, I thought it was a painting.
Wonderful piece!

LOL, I am glad you caught the humor here. I am sure Melvin was a very good student in his class.

Amusing thought indeed! The framing is thoughtfully executed, and the balance of light, shadows, and colours enhances the overall composition.Nice work

its a shame about the beak of this pelican not being all in it but still think its a good close up[humour bit not totally sure on] but apart from that its quite an interesting one....Brian

This is a beautiful portrait of a pelican's face and the beginnings of his beak. Focus and clarity are great, but I think it would make more of a statement showing his whole beak. Good luck in the contest.

Thanks much for the review. I could not get the whole beak in the photo, it would not fit in the school annual! : )

Well, I can already see the graduation cap upon his head. This close up of a pelican, captures an expression of modesty. LOL. And the text you have added supports you vision and intent of the image. The image itself is sharp, detailed and most amusing.

So creative and funny also!
The portrait of this large bird is smartly placed within the frame. Great details, cute contact with the model and natural colors on this close up.
Best of luck in the voting you got a great one.
