This is a truly great entry into a contest like this. The name of this beautiful bit is Great Blue Turaco (Corythaelola cristata). You have pictured it so well and I especially like how lovely the light is falling on it. The bird is also standing out from the dark background in an excellent way.

The photo is very sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is just spot on.

The format is perfect and the bird has got a very good placement off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Nieves, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.

I have no idea what the name of this bird is but it certainly is an interesting tropical bird.
I like the way it reaches in from left frame , love that bright yellow and orange beak and that fancy black crest !
You have photographed it well with nice focus , this image is clear and your exposure is correct, the pretty blue tones on the head and body appear natural the feathers are well defined, nice detail is seen in its face and that clear eye complete with the nice reflective light establishes a connection between the viewer and the bird, I feel like it is looking at me!
Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest .
Hopefully someone will know the name of this beautiful bird!
