The butterfly is indeed beautiful and I love that they symbolize transformation and rebirth . This is a type of butterfly that I don't believe we have here,'I also ` like the autumn colors in its wings. I also find it interesting that it has landed on the Mullen plant, the Mullen plant is a medicinal plant that when made into a tea helps with congestion in the lungs.
I like the diagonal placement of the butterfly and see that it is in between the stems of the plant.
The butterfly is well focused, clear and correctly exposed . I appreciate the details you have brought out here , especially its antennas.
The dark background works to showcase this butterfly and I also like the way the light is touching the wings.
The colors and tones here appear natural.

Kathy, very nice. this is like a stained glass window and I am looking at the underside. I know how hard it is to photograph a butterfly or other insects. they are there one moment and gone the next. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photograph. Ray
