I can see that your new dog has grown quite a lot since the last photo you posted of him. He looks like such a gentle and king dog, and you have pictured him so well. I like a lot the all neutral background because it makes him stand out in such an excellent way.

The photo is pin sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in every part of the dog. The exposure is spot on.

The tight cropping has worked well, and the dog has got such a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Pat, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Your picture is beautiful, I love that all the different shades of brown in his eyes are so vibrant, the patterns in his fur, he's adorable :D

Beautiful dog! I had a friend back in the day that raised and showed Shepards and she told me she would never insult her dog by having it AKC registered. She lived here but her dogs were bred and shown in Germany. Her stud was A rated in Germany. American bred GSD can't compare to German bred Shepard in my opinion. This is a beautiful well taken photo. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much Lynnmarie , I agree, the AKC standards have ruined the German Shepherd here.

You did well training him to look at you. His gaze looks a bit sad, though. I like the clarity of colors and textures of his coat especially the various shades of brown. Excellent angle, focus and lighting. The clarity of his eyes is amazing. Great shot, Pat. This is a stellar entry.

Hi Pat, your dog definitely looks alert. Looks like you trained him well. I swear I see a look of concern in his eyes. I think he definitely would do anything to protect you. He definitely is a good subject to photograph. You did a gteat job presenting him. Focus and lighting show him off well. Great subject for the pet c9ntest. Good luck!

Pat,
A fantastic portrait of your beloved dog Chance his eyes fixed on you with the light sparkling in them. The lighter colour in his framing his chin & the outer edges of his pointed ears. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Jesse sends her best doggy wishes to Chance.

This is a beautiful handsome portrait of this shepherd. Did they start schutzhund training before you got him.? The focus, clarity and details are well shown here, also such beautiful coloring. A lovely dog,! And great photograph.

Very well done Pat! This portrait of your dog is beautiful with many fine details and clear natural tones. The look in his eyes is gorgeous and he looks like a loving dog! The nicely blurred background gives great highlight to all his beauty. An excellent entry for the contest, good luck!
