This is indeed a delicate looking rose with the ivory colored petals, and I especially like the close and personal approach. The background is also nicely softened for the rose to stand out in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the petals of the rose and the green base. The exposure is spot on.
The tight framing is working well, and the rose has got a fine placement within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken flower photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF.

Wow, thanks Annie for the high rating, glad you liked it. It is always fun to photograph flowers, they don"t move so fast like wildlife does! : ) Of course we all tried to shoot in windy conditions also. This was on a very calm day. Thank again.

This is beautifully captured with spot on focus, this image is sharp and clear and your exposure is perfect, I see the texture of every part of this rose, it is well placed within the frame and it steps forward from the soft , darker tones in background .
This is such a wonderful example of photographing a flower in the white family .
I like also that we can see its supporting greenery .

Thanks Pat, I think white roses are pretty cool. I think I got a bit jaded with red roses all the time in the past. Genetics are amazing. Bet it will be a few more weeks before your roses are in bloom. : )
