At first glance this painting looks kind of busy, and at the same time I am trying to figure out what the title actually is referring to. I gave up on the latter, but leaning back looking at your work from a distance it is actually some sort of order in the chaos.
I could clearly see the distinct orange horizontal lines and intriguing shapes. I also like very much the warm and often glowing colors.
The tall format looks fine, and just now I am enjoying all the great textures I can see in this painting. It is really well done Ray.

I'm giving you a virtual 10 for this one. There is so much interest within this piece. Textures, tones, colours and placement is phenomenally well done. You need your own gallery Ray!

Your abstract work dances with colours and shapes, transcending reality into a visual poetry of the mind. The colours and details truly capture the holiday spirit. Well done!

Hi Ray! I'm not sure I understand why this is titled what it is, But perhaps the longer I look at it, I will. We shall see!
This reminds me of the effect I get when I have laid down the colors and then put crumpled up plastic wrap Over the wet paint and let it dry that way. When I pull off the plastic, it creates all of the Interesting patterns. Not sure if that's what you did or not, But to me, it appears that way. Am I close?
I do like some blending And combination of colors that you used.
Goid luck!

Hi Jewell Thank you for your interest in my style. Don't you remember I explained what I do, no balloon or saran wrap. This all different layers using a palette knife dragged lightly across the paper. A lot of light on dark, in thin layers, will give a three dimensional affect. This painting was inspired by the unrest in Ukraine, thus the title. Will it ever come back only time will tell. Thank you for your interest in this piece, Ray
