Hi Mark, I feel so sorry for the giraffe! Whether he wants to get a drink or eat something on the ground he really has to go thru tricky maneuvers to make it happen. You got a great shot of this giraffe trying to do just that. The focus and lighting really let us enjoy the shot. Very nicely captured and a joy to view! :o) Nancy

A nice photograph of this giraffe with legs splayed, feeding. Focus and clarity are great, showing wonderful detail, however I think it would show better if some of the foreground was cropped out.

This is quite a funny photo of a giraffe spreading its front legs to get to the grass. The light is falling on the animal in such a lovely way, and it is also standing out well from the background.

The photo is sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the giraffe, and the exposure is very good.

When it comes to the composition I would have cropped quite a bit off the bottom part. It is nothing of interest in this area, and the photo would be better balanced. Still this is an all together fun and well taken photo Mark.

Thanks, I did think about whether or not to crop out the foreground but tried to keep the reflections in the water. I have decided to crop it out for a better look at the Giraffe. Much appreciated! :-)

One day I'd like to do the safari thing but I am getting to old to travel these days. Colors, lighting, details are all wonderful. Overall a wonderful presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Mark,
A beautiful picture of the Giraffe legs spread-eagled in order to drink. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Interesting one of this giraffe drinking and speading its legs to do so,often seen on wildlife programmes,my only thought on this is that bit of grass at the top is slightly distracting [but only a little bit] still a good one...Brian

This is an interesting image , it shows the giraffe foraging on the ground and I think this is the first time I have seen one do this, we see how it positions its front legs in order to reach the ground to eat.
Well captured with good focus, this image is clear and exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural in this light.
Well composed and presented!

Very wonderful visual presented hear of this beautiful giraffe. He really has to stretch his legs out to get something to drink or eat. Composition shades tones and presentation is very well done. Thank you for sharing Mark

Mark, after seeing this, I think I need to refrain from complaining about bending over to pick things up off the floor. LOL.

The giraffe's long neck and legs create a striking visual contrast, emphasizing the unique anatomy that allows it to reach both high branches and ground-level foliage. The wide stance of its legs adds a touch of awkward elegance to the scene.

The image is tack sharp. Well Framed. And certainly, tells a story

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of that hungry animal. Like its splayed legs. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!
