Hi Mark, this illustration of a young girl skating evokes a feeling of joy and calm. Her maroon jacket shares a similar hue of the outer colors of the frozen pond (river) that work brilliantly to frame her as she glides across the ice. You have placed her in your frame under that full moon, thus creating a vertical line for the reviews to home in on, which is then supported by the repeating vertical lines found in the parallel tree trunks.
The composition feels balanced and harmonious, and the details in her pose and the textures of the ice and mountains show great attention to detail.

In the past the committee is more partial to artwork than cartoons. However, every now and then someone on the committee might like it and give me vote. As my mama use to tell me " boy you are hard headed!"..yep I keep coming back with a different approach..wink.. thanks for the awesome review.

It is amazing to me that this is comprised of so many little dots and done with Sharpies and Bic pens.
You've done a great job on the shading in the snow and the highlights from the moon!

An excellent contest entry with this girl ice skating in the ring framed with the white snow and the moon right in the middle.
Great bright colors in the dark forest and only the trees around the ring getting some light from the moonlight.

One of his hits was titled "Swamp Witch"...you can say i decided to do a illustration of representing the song. I also attached the song from Youtube to let you hear the 3 minute song and looking at the creation to see if i captured the mood of the song. check it out when ya get the time and see if I'm on track? thanks again!

I think this is a great entry into this contest, and I especially like the color pallet you have used. I also think the snow is really well done and I like the reflected shine from the moon in the ice.
As always this is done paying such a great attention to details and with great shadings.
The trees on each side work as a nice framing of the scene, and I actually like that both the moon and the girl are centered. It is a very fine leading lines to be seen as well. All this makes for a good and well balanced composition. Well done Mark, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I think this is a great entry into this contest, and I especially like the color pallet you have used. I also think the snow is really well done and I like the reflected shine from the moon in the ice.
As always this is done paying such a great attention to details and with great shadings.
The trees on each side work as a nice framing of the scene, and I actually like that both the moon and the girl are centered. It is a very fine leading lines to be seen as well. All this makes for a good and well balanced composition. Well done Mark, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I am afraid I have never heard about this song, but perhaps it wasn't a hit in Norway. I will have a look though. And you are of course more than welcome for the review Mark.
