This buck is posing for you in the most lovely way and you have indeed pictured him well. The light is falling so nicely on the animal, and I like the autumn colored background. The buck is standing out from it in the most excellent way.

The photo is pin sharp showing truly clear and well defined details in every part of the buck, and the exposure is spot on. The colors look nice and natural.

The format and framing is just perfect, and the buck has got a very good placement in the picture. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

LeeAnn, I can remember your pictures of Bullseye and your thoughts at the time. How he trusted you and became a big part of your life, as you were affraid of his future. And his life was taken. I am sure you cherish the memories. Ray

Thanks so very much, Ray; I know he is somewhere safe, where he will never know pain or fear again. Afterwards, my husband told me he had a bad feeling all year that Bullseye wouldn’t survive, I am grateful he never told me. I think on some level I suspected the same, I was spending as much time with him that I could, and even started taking short videos of him; in those he will forever be alive.

This could only have been taken by LeeAnn. You have always had such a wonderful kinship with the deer around you. I think you capture images that others would find difficult to get. This image is magnificent! Love the regal look of Bullseye! In this shot he truly looks like a prince of the forest. Love his upturned head. So sorry you had to witness his death. An animal such as this should only be shot with a camera. Truly an excellent and worthy entry for the contest! Good Luck!:o) Nancy

Lee Anne,
A beautiful picture of Bullseye head in the air as he sniffs the breeze, the light sparkling in his eyes & the shine on his nose is also seen, Framed by the trees in the background & the autumn coloured leaves is lying on. Beautiful composition framing & lighting, taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is so sad, I love wild animals and I'm so sad when they are shot for no reason at all except '' SPORTMANSHIP" There is nothing sporting about killing a beautiful wild animal. You must be heartbroken...I am, just reading your narrative. The photograph is a sad ending to a wonderful, beautiful animal.

A good looking image posted here into the competition, together with sad, interesting notes! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of that unlucky animal. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!
