Oh my goodness I must've missed this one! Congratulations on placing in the contest I absolutely love this doggie! Great job on This personified concept! I like his serious expression and the color blue being an Enhancing shade. Have you ever been asked to illustrate a children's book?

yes i have 2 books i have illustrated for.."According To Grandpa" by Elgie Ellis Bacon and "Let's Fly Sky High!" by Rhonnie Jones. i meet both of them thru FanStory over the years. i was only paid for the illustrations before publishing..the writer gets the royalties..wink..glad you have enjoyed this and thanks for the great review.

HI Mark, It looks like your hound dog is almost drowning in its tears. Love how you made it look like the head and lower body seem to have water droplets surrounding them. I think that effect gives the image a very cool look. It really fits the song. It must take a lot of work to do work with dots! The speckled look comes across very nicely. :o) Nancy

His eyes say a lot and I could probably come up with many blubs of thought. I think he may have a little Dalmatian somewhere in his ancestry :)) I like that colors are limited and I also the collar up. Cool Dude.

Lovely drawing of the dog dressed in the blue .
All the details and transitions of blue colors, treating the halo effect around his head are so nice to view.
Mark thank you for sharing!

Your artwork glows with the magic music of the past. Elvis the Pelvishappens to be one of my all-time favourites! Freehand drawing with pencils and sharpies allows you to develop a unique and personalised style. You are a master of these unique forms of art. Here goes my SIX for you. Cheers!

Mark.
A beautiful Sharpie & Bic Biro drawing of a Hound Dog dressed in a open neck blue shirt looking as if it was standing in water with Bees flying around it's head. Created in your Artist's eye for composition, very skilful draftsmanship, beautiful choice &application of your colours in bringing the Hound to life on your canvas.
