This is a very interesting sunset with interesting colors. What is the weather like in Alaska? Is it really 40 below in the springtime like the song goes? Keep up the great work!

HI Pat, Looks like you have to watch your balance when standing on the shore here! Rugged is the word for the shore and the white capped mountains in the distance. Love the view of the mountains and the shore. I think the touch of golden sunset adds a nice touch to the image. So glad you were there at the time to capture it. Love the rough look of the scene. Very cool and a joy to view with good lighting and focus!

A colorful and breathe taking capture. The angle of the shot of this colorful mountainous skyline with reflective water is awesome. The clarity is excellent. The capture of the light is excellent. The presentation is balance and very eye appealing to the viewer. Great eye and awesome work overall.(Clapping)

Beautiful!

This photo beautifully captures the serene essence of Turnagain Arm during sunset. Your timing was GREAT; the sun is casting a warm, golden hue across the sky. The foreground, with its large boulders, adds a raw and natural element to the composition.

The interplay of light and shadow on the boulders creates a dynamic visual texture, enhancing the depth and richness of the image. The contrast between the tranquil water and the imposing rocks highlights the diversity of Alaska's natural scenery, making this shot not just a visual treat but a storytelling piece.

Pat, this is a great shot; almost otherworldly with the jagged rocks in the foreground; leading the viewers gaze to the water and up to the mountains in the background. The view is capped off by a beautiful sunset sky. A wonderful composition.

Again, lest I repeat myself!! This is absolutely stunning! You live in such a beautiful area. So many gorgeous inlets and mountain scenes for you to view and capture on camera. You have a gift of focusing on the right subject and surrounding it with great enhancements.
A sunset is also a great draw, always! I think that God made up for freezing temperatures with the fantastic scenery around you.
Great job for all the right reasons.

Hey Pat, just when I think you could not be your last sunset photo you post this one. Wow, rugged is the word!

It is very dramatic to have the closeup of the rocks, then the water mid-tones and the mountain and sky in the background. Ones eyes foes through these as if 3D. Fantastic.
