A wonderful photo of the sheep. Did you get close when you took the photos? The colors are great, great job. Keep smiling and good luck in your endeavors.

After looking at the expression on the sheep's face, it is clear that he knows you as a friend. You got it to pose very naturally.

I like the diagonal shape of the rocks and the sheep's posture.

I am really drawn to the red lichen?
that contrasts with the rock. The photo is pin sharp. You are so lucky to have such amazing things to photograph. Ugg, and I am submitting the top of a fence post : ((

Thank you so much Allan, actually I think these sheep have become accustomed to seeing people with cameras , these are easily seen from the highway and people stop and pull over to photograph them , every once in a while they will get right down on the edge of the highway.
I appreciate your supportive review and I am honored by your six stars!

I love these guys!!! We don't see them much in the lower states, they are hunted in Colorado and considered evasive so they cull them. Love mountain goats! Colors, shading, details and focus all wonderful. Overall a great presentation. Thanks for sharing.

Oh he thinks he is baaaaaaaasaaaaaaad..lol. cool capture. The angle of the shot of this goat on the mountainside is great. The clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall.

Pat, this is another striking, professional image that captures this mountain goat standing proudly on a rocky cliff. The goat's white fur contrasts beautifully against the rugged terrain. The steep, uneven surface of the cliff, with patches of vegetation and orange lichen, showcases the goat's ability to navigate and balance in its natural habitat.

I have not seen these Dall sheep; maybe once in Yellowstone from far away.
Excellent details and the white coat on the sheep shows so nicely against the gray cliffs.
Pat, wonderful presentation!

Thank you so much my dear friend! I’m surprised you didn’t see these on the Seward Highway , they are very close to Mc Hugh creek.

A very interesting photograph posted here with great notes. So you caught the shot of this guy from the highway? He stands out against the rockface colors very well. You captured him with great focus and clarity; and looking directly at you. Please tell me what chinook conditions are/mean.

Thank you so much Michelle! Chinook conditions are warm winds , we had temps in the mid 40 ‘s and even up to 50’ it melted snow m caused creeks and rivers to over flow and left my back yard as a sheet of ice. Now it is in the teens ,

This is an amazing wildlife nature scene here Pat. Initial impact was this Dall sheep is trying to escape an erupting volcano. Great colours and exposure. Good focus, texture and clarity. Well done and thanks for sharing :-)

Hi Pat, this is a wonderful picture of a Dall sheep, an amazing animal. How they negotiate the mountains is a wonder to me. And what keeps them up on the mountain? I think it is other Dall sheep. :) Very informative. Ray

I always found most and sheep to one the most interesting animals on earth. The way they could just start at the very bottom of the mountain top and go straight up really really impresses me. This one looks as if to say you're beneath me. Wonderful to view. Thank you for sharing.
