Hi Susan.. Such a beautiful little bird made all the more attractive by a skilled photographer.
Every aspect of this frame is of the highest quality for sharpness, resolution, color accuracy and eye appeal - very well done.
What I find special about this remarkable shot is the depth of the 'focal box'. The bird and just enough branches behind it are in sharp focus - the focal box backed by a matching bokeh.

A lovely shot of this beautiful bird with a fluffy belly, looking straight at you. Its obviously taken in the winter months, so there is a lack od color.....but you have no control over that. Overall a nice shot of this cute bird.

Thanks a million for your complementary review on this female Chaffinch. The male Chaffinch is more colourful with a pink breast. Most female birds are less colourful than the male so they can sit on her eggs unnoticed by other birds & rats that could pose a treat.

Hi Susan - this is a very nice capture of the Chaffinch perched in the bush. The dark limb acts as a natural leading line to carry our eyes to that sweet little finch. The limb also creates nice depth in the scene; allowing the little one to be the main attraction as it stands out nicely from the natural environment. Very Nice.
