Hey Phyllis, peaceful and rustic now. But back when I spent my April school vacation emptying sap buckets this place was a beehive of activity.. for a couple of weeks. Thank you for the fine review and rating. I'm glad you liked the post ... Bob

I am mad that I have no more 6 star ratings. Because this definitely deserves the rating! Beautiful capture of this cabin covered in snow. A classic Winter picture! Great work, thank you for sharing!

Informative artist's notes. I am pretty amazed while reading the details of this sugarhouse and the production of first syrup production and your after-school winter job. I enjoyed the rustic scene of this structure and the snowy foreground and leafless trees. Excellent angle, lighting and framing placement. Those lights and shadows in the foreground added depth and drama in this setting. This is surely an image with a history and memories to tell. You've done a great choice capturing this in Winter.

Hi Nieves.. Sad to say that there are more and more of these abandoned sugarhouses. Sugarin' has progressed to the corporate for-profit maple sugar companies. One in particular has made a deal with the state to sugar the south side of a range. They have over 500,00 taps and gather the sap in 5,000-gallon tanker trucks. I'm glad you liked the post. Thank you so much for the fine review and outstanding six rating... Bob

A lovely picture of a cabin in the woods. A mysterious scene among the trees of a snow driven scene. A beautiful scene with good focus and clarity and also a good central presentation.
