Awe, I love dogs , I used to do obedience training on all breeds and I own three myself.
I assume Louie is the bulldog on the left and Sadie is the mastiff.
Very well rendered with such nice attention to the details .well chosen and applied colors and good show of the texture of their fur coats.
They are nicely situated within the space.
I'm certain that your friend will cherish this painting. Loosing a dog is loosing a part of the family.

Thank you so much, Yes, I also have 3 dogs of my own, Lol at one point had 5. They are just so amazing. That is so awesome that you did obedience training. I have taken all of mine to a trainer. Thank you so much for the kind review!!!

Yes, Louie is the bulldog and Sadie is the mastiff. Their names seem to fit them perfectly. I always want to know the names of the animals that I paint, it helps me to connect with them:)

This is a great painting. You really captured the two dogs nicely. They look like they were waiting for you to come home. The depth is great. I love the different shades used in the dogs' coats. This is beautifully done.
