An interesting story and a photo that looks like an advertisement for Easter in Norway. Tempting but I still prefer my chocolate eggs. I worked in Oslo for a while but narrowly missed Easter when I was there. Nice shot, interesting story.

I think chocolate and orange Annie, orange soft drink and chocolate is a great way to close the season and say good bye to the snow. I see the cross country skier and the pussy willows, a nice tough I might add. This is like an advertisement, and I am sure the local residents would get a chuckle if they see it. Ray

I love your backstory on this photo. My mother in law (deceased at 101 age) had a pair of wooden Norwegian cross country skis. The must have been 6-8 feet long with only a leather strap to hold on to your boots. I bet she even used them as part of your cultural tradition.

A very wonderful visual presented here. I love that beautiful yellow orange background that highlight your subjects. You're making me hungry. I was a skier when I was younger, but unfortunately, with a knee replacement I no longer can do any of that. Thank you for sharing and bringing back memories.

We had a very mild winter with hardly any snow , then as April started we got about 8 inches of fresh snow, of course the skiers loved it . It is very similar here during Easter , skiers will head to the mountains to get that last bit of skiing in before the snow is gone,
This could be an advertisement for these two snacks , of course I am not familiar with them. You have arranged and photographed them well , the warm golden background works to emphasize the orange drink and biscuit . I like the skier in silhouette , it tells the story of this Easter tradition.

I think to many traditions are fast disappearing more so i think in the uk,its a pity because i think we should keep links with the past whatever there form maybe,this looks like a good one to keep and as i like oranges and chocolate i would also keep this up,a well photographed image annie and good notes....Brian
