An impressive sight of the old Oil drums flattened out & made into theses gates on either side of this young girl in Madagascar. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.Good luck in the contest.

It makes the viewer question where is she coming from? What does she have in her hand, what are these bright doors? Many thanks for your great review, I'm so pleased you liked it and that it gave you reason to ponder.
I can answer one of your questions - I believe she's onto holding the gate bolt...prossibly with thoughts of a quick getaway if needed! I took this photo in a very remote part of Madagascar, where they see few white people and the children are still often scared by us - a few sweets in my pocket did manage to calm their worries though! LOL

Think so called third world countries do that,we on the other hand don,t when you see that programme on t.v. where they make stuff out of things chucked away,you can see we are wastefull,that aside this is a good local photo that tells a story as well,think if i have one observation charlotte is to crop of the blue bit on the right just to make the girl slightly off centre...Brian
