Absolutely gorgeous trees. I almost captured lighting like that decades ago on a cloudy day, but missed by seconds. Mine would have had iron grey clouds though.

I see a really great entry for the contest, it looks like the woods are on fire, I also like the reflection on the water, was you on a boat when you took this or was you on the other side of the lake. Think the title is quiet apt as it is golden in color,and the reflection adds that extra sparkle to this,detail is spot on,can you get on the island because bet you could more good photos...Brian

Thanks Brian. I guess it would be possible to get on the island but it would involve swimming. So, not that keen to try it.
