A lovely photograph of the moon in the waxing stage. The detail of the moon's surface is displayed well. Invariably here in Florida when there is a celestial event it is cloudy and overcast.

Waxing means it's enlarging each day until it's full. Waning means it's getting smaller to the new Moon after that it will be waxing again!
