Well.....a other facet of your talent, Ray, is outshining other genres, in my book. Love it. Your details are fantastic. The details in his face and clothing is extraordinary!

No matter how big!
No matter how small!
A fisherman's story is always quite tall!
Hi Ray, After seeing your image this little poem popped into my head. Love the humor in this! I think the drawing is great! Love the sparseness of the paint! In my eyes you dressed this fisherman perfectly! Love the look! Thus reminds me of my brother he loves to go fishing and always has a story to tell! LOL Just had to give you a six for this one!

Hi Nancy, I am so glad you enjoy my humor. Thank you for your wonderful review and poem. Your six is cherished. I have done a lot of fishing in my day and had a great time doing it and I have stories. Thank you again Nancy. Ray

You've drawn a handsome and young fisherman, here, Ray. I like how you have dressed him up with that denims and with a tuck-in shirt. This bench overlooking the ocean is a nice play to rest. Excellent choice of realistic scene and colors. The details are well-defined and well conceptualized. A painting with a story to tell.

This is awesome Ray! This is a story that every fisherman or lady can tell, it's that fish that got away and of course it was huge!
Very well rendered with accurate shape and structure good show of the size and proportions . I like his hat and the green shirt with blue jeans rolled above the ankles.
Well shown lake behind him and I like the wooden bench he sits on.
It's almost time for red salmon fishing here!
Well arranged and presented!

Pat, it is so nice to read your review. I had both you and Allan in mind, I know you both like fishing and so do I. Thank you for your wonderful review, rating and thoughtful comments. Ray

Ha, I immediately saw myself in this art piece. I really like his expression, it seems like he does not even believe his embelishment about the size of the one that got away.

Dressed like the perfect fisherman, expecially the floppy hat. Well done and a pleasure to review.

Yes, you read me very well. I did get a kick out of this. Every Minnesota child is taught this expression. 😂

So funny and nicely presented. I know nothing about fishing so I can relate to this young man as he is trying to catch a fish.

Great drawing if all the details, his posture and expression are just perfect. Ray I am out of sixes by now but this one deserves many of them!
