This certainly portrays a cold and gloomy day. What a better place to choose but in the ruins of a church that may have served many in the past. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

Well, this is a charming scene. It definitely conveys the cold. So I think it's terrific contender for the contest. I like the way you have shot this so that the viewer's eye is drawn in from the front right third to the back left third. Also, the contrast between these very dark trees up front, which are in silhouette, is terrific against the snow and the buildings.Great job.

This looks very cold. I like that you use black-and-white to present this piece. Composition shades, tones, and presentation is extremely well done. Good luck in the contest.

The grain and light in this photo give it a classic, almost cinematic feel. A masterful play between light and shadow. It's proof that color isn't always needed to create impact. Good luck!

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Wonder where in the world that nice, old church stands? Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us a very enjoyable view of it and its snowy location. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!

This is a lovely scene of an old castle in the snow and midwinter. It would also have been a good black and white entry, but the right side of the picture seems to be over pixelated and not clear to view.
