A blue Iris, such a beautiful flower; colors are well shown here. However I think it is out or focus and not as crisp as it could be. The muted green background shows the Iris's colors well.

This is an Iris. Its botanical name is Iris Reticulata Dark Blue. Your portrait of it is absolutely stunning. It looks as though it is creeping out of the darkness seeking the light, thanks to the way that you shot this. The colors are rich and stunning.The imagery is sharply focused and the focal point is very well placed.Overall a beautiful composition.

Hi Paul, At first I thought this was an Iris, but now I'm not sure! I think the shot you took of it is stunning! The focus is wonderful as is the lighting. You show this delicate gem off beautifully! Hi Nancy, a wonderful review for which I am really grateful. The general opinion is that this is an Iris. I know the names of three (!!) flowers of which this is not one ... learn something everyday.
