A very lovely photo for this contest, you're so lucky to live close enough to such a lovely beach to be able to visit it daily - I'm jealous! :)
I love the colours, the low angle and the scene, nicely taken!
As it's for competition, could I suggest that you straighten it very slightly? The left hand side of the horizon is a tiny bit lower than the right - I know it sounds like I'm being picky, but it's something that's really important in photography.

A good entry into the contest. However I think the out of focus shells need to be cropped out, so the in focus shells are more focused. I like the storm clouds in the background adding to the interest.

Kaye, this is such a refreshing scene. I love the scene per se of these various shells on the shore and how you have focused them. I also like the tides and the dramatic sky in your composition. Clarity of textures and authentic colors. Point of improvement is just to straighten your horizon just a little bit from the background because it is a bit tilted. Overall, this is an amazing scene.

I think that it would be great to walk the beach everyday especially when you are retired. I haven't been there in years but I can't wait until I can go back someday. My wife passed away in Sept and it is a little hard to do some of the things like we use to. I like all those shells and it looks like they could touch the sky. Again good low viewpoint in this showing of the shells but again this would have been even better had all the shells been sharp and the background really out of focus,suggest you go back and try different settings...Brian
