A lovely shot of a beautiful church - yes it was probably built in the Neo-Gothic period, where a lot of sculpture, buildings, furniture etc. copied the Gothic style.
My one minor nitpick would be that you were too close, it would have been nice to see the bottom half and entrance to the church. Very good luck in the contest!

thanks Charlotte for the good comments,in regards to your comments would have needed a wider lens as i was was close to the edge of a kerb so would have had to stand in the road to get more in,not good and could have then been no photo at all lol or not

Ah fair enough - we certainly wouldn’t want to lose you for the sake of a photo, or at all in fact! Lol
…not that I know who you are of course, this is a blind contest :)

This is an interesting entry into the contest. Shown in black and white seems to accentuate its historical, old construction. It gives a dark, medieval vibe of this church.
Good luck in the contest

WOW! A 150 year old building is a nice entry to this Something Old Photo Contest. I like how you've shown its architectural design. Artistic presentation in black and white. A classic scene. Wish you the best in this contest.

The composition is absolutely perfect! The way you've captured the natural light here is stunning! The interplay of shadows and highlights creates such a rich, immersive depthâ€"it feels like I could step right into the scene. Well done!

A very lovely visual presented here of this old church. I like how you use black-and-white to highlight your subject. I wonder what the inside looks like. Thank you for sharing.

I really like the angle that you took this and I think that it really looks good in black and white. It fits the frame really well and the focus is great. I also see that it is entered in a contest and I wish you the best in it. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing. JackJr.

A good looking image presented here into the competition! Your fine and classical composition gives us an enjoyable view of that venerable building. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well done and good luck!
