This is a wonderful entry into the contest. There is no doubt that it was definitely cold there, as seen by the frozen waterfall. I really like the way you shot this leading the viewer's eyes in to the scene from the front left third of the composition straight back and around to the right rear third, following the darkly colored, contrasting tree line. Technically, it is well done. Imagery is sharply focused. Subject matter has adequate exposure and the composition is well framed.

I guess when there is a will, there is a way to get to something even though safety should be a factor. However, you've done this fall justice. Your composition, shades, tones colors, and presentation is extremely well done. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wow I have never seen frozen falls before, what a sight! How annoying that they blocked them off, and what a shame.
A difficult photo with the lights and shadows, but you've managed well. Good focus and dof and a very nice composition.

thanks so much, Charlotte, I thought it was rather rude that they blocked it off, I could have bypassed that barrier, too, but the park police were nearby, so I decided not to tempt fate-lol!

This is such an unusual photograph of running water frozen mid flow... it is truly surreal and beautiful. It is a shame that the power that be prevent people viewing the natural wonders of life for fear of being sued. This is a great photograph for the contest.

This is a fascinating image! It almost looks like there was a leak at a whipped cream factory and this is the result going over the waterfall! LOL
The fact that you put on ice crampons shows the length people will go to get a shot of something like this. You did however get a remarkable shot! It was fun to see! Definitely fits the "Cold Photography Contest!
